Rats and effects of alchohol

Its no secret that drinking and poor decision making go hand in hand. It has been tested that drinking can lead to bad behavior even after it has left the system. It is said that the emotions can transfer over to adulthood. They tested this by using rats and having them consume alcohol. It also turns out that rats seem to enjoy the beverage. For twenty days rats helped themselves to Jell-O shots. They were even able to pace themselves. The group of rodents that had been "dry" for the 20 days preferred the lever that led to the smaller and more consistent allotment of treats before they were tested.

Meat and Lead poisoning

Meat if shot by a hunter can be riddled with lead. These small shards of lead can lead to poisoning. Some hunters have been dying due to this. Sixty percent of a stores supply of deer meat contained these shards of lead. Pregnant women and children under the age of six have been told not to eat any meat shot with this ammunition. This discovery sparked the idea of whether or not hunting and eating meat is safe. Lead has been used in weapons since roman times and they also encountered some of the same sorts of problems.

Observation Exercises

Elliot Felsenthal

Ms.Sumners-winter

9/24/09

The subject I have decided to observe is a funeral. I will observe the sorrowful occurrence of one loosing a loved one. There will be tears, silence, and much needed reassurance that their love one is in a better place. It will have people from all walks of life and all times from said individual’s life. There will be those who love, hate, and don’t even know the deceased. I will witness the events that unfold as a human being leaves this world and how their lasting impact in other’s lives transform into tears, stories, and general personal grieving.

OBservation Exercises

Observation Exercise Video

Im able to focus more because I am alone and I can watch any part I feel I misunderstood. His mother continues to ask him if he wants fish but he denies her each time. This taught me that if you take out one aspect of something then the other aspects are better expressed

Observation Exercise In Class

When I was in the middle with Bobby it was very nerve racking and I was all tensed up. I could not think of where to start the conversation. We began to talk about the football game and eventually led into lamas and donuts. My body language could surely say something about how I was feeling. I went to class that day expecting it to be like any other day however it turned out to be a blast.

When I was Terrified

Elliot Felsenthal

  • My worst experience was when I had to bail out of my kayak on the Ocoee River
  • I respect the rivers power and force over me
  • The utter fear of being dragged down an extremely fast river with no way of stopping and no one to help
When you are surrounded by water and its moving…….unlike in a pool where it is stagnant……it is a fear unlike any other

Autobiography

Elliot Felsenthal

Autobiographies are very important because it gives you a perspective from that person about them. Biographies can be biased based on whom it is about and who writes it. Autobiographies can be much more informative and true for that matter. Autobiographies are very worth reading due to the better accuracy and truth. They can be a great deal more helpful and informative.

Elliot FELSENTHALS assignment

Elliot Felsenthal

9/8/09

p.7 pt. 1 &2

The last paper I wrote was my 12th grade final research paper on Crime in English literature. It took about 3 weeks before I began to put anything at all on paper. I had to read through pages and pages of research to get an idea of some books I had not read nor had the time to read. My plan began as me trying to wing it and write what I thought of for an entire 3 pages but I soon realized I had to write my ideas down in outline form and form my ideas more fully. As I began writing I had to change and further develop my ideas to make the paper the correct length. When I got stuck on having no more ideas to record my teacher helped me to develop the ideas deeper and in more detail.

His jacket strained over his body.

Analyze #2

  1. She describes the snowball as perfectly spherical and made translucent. It was perfect in their mind due to their thinking of it hitting someone and being the most effective.
  2. In the “backyard labyrinths” it is a mixture of fear and confusion. She did not know where to go and the fear of being chased made it so she could not rationalize where to go.

p.25 Analyze

  1. Perfunctorily, redundant, formality, passionately, glory, prolong, brooded, dismembered, exalting, righteous,

He chased Mikey and me around the yellow house.

He caught us and we all stopped.
